What is this mystery of sea and sand,
where the sea spills over the edge
of the earth and water meets land?
Whose spellbinding call whispers
my name from the endless rhythm of waves?
What secret draws me to its beauty,
where the blue taffeta ripples in the wind
and two worlds converge on a seam of wet sand?
World of sound without words gently stirs
my senses with salt air and fragrant jasmine.
Like a message in a bottle, cares drift
against nature's heart then disappear
in swirls of surf carried back
to the depths.
What is this mystery that breathes
with my breath, captures light in sea spray
on crashing waves, speaks to me
from sand dunes and tides at full moon,
