Each September when the night air begins to chill, and I see the poplar tree in the front yard toss bronze and yellow leaves to the ground, I know autumn is quickly approaching.
And it also means, it's time for Light of Carolina Christian Writers to gather for their first meeting of the season!
I'm excited that this is the third season we've gathered to share our writing with each other. Our writing abilities have grown, and so have the friendships. Our gatherings nurture even the newest of writers, the ones who say they don't know why they're there, but just feel led somehow to pen their thoughts. And of course, the inspiration of the published authors encourages all of us.
Light of Carolina Christian Writers has a destiny all its own; a friendly group of writers who love to craft non-fiction, poetry, devotions, stories for books and magazines, children's books, or fiction. Each gathering plants a few more seeds, and lays the groundwork to realizing God-given talents. How gratifying to see those talents shine!
We celebrate each other's milestones and publishing accomplishments, and provide a safe harbor in the face of disappointment.
I look forward to hearing what each person has been up to over the summer, and where their writing journey has taken them.
